A taste of the new home of Guinness in London

We are passionate about good things. Good friends, good food and good beer. And we believe a great pint deserves an equally great plate. That’s why, at Guinness Open Gate Brewery London, we’ve harnessed the spirit of goodness and community that runs through our DNA to source our ingredients from suppliers who are doing their best to do good.

We take a local-first approach to sourcing, so many of our suppliers are based in and around London. They’re as passionate about their food as we are about our brews, and we want to shout about some of the great things they’re doing in their own spaces.

If you’re sitting down with friends in The Porter’s Table, admiring the city views from Gilroy’s Loft or gathering around a freshly baked pie in Old Brewer’s Yard, you’re getting an authentic taste of what London has to offer. And we think you’ll agree, it’s all rather delicious!

The London Larder

HG Walter - A cut above

A London staple for over half a century, this family-run butchers is based just down the road in Barons Court. They source their meat from small, local farms that take sustainability and free-range seriously. “The best beef in the UK” is flavoured in their custom-made Himalayan salt room, and everything – from burgers to bangers and more – is prepared in-house out of their London HQ.

Our partnership with HG Walter means the meat we serve is not only incredibly flavourful but also a testament to responsible sourcing. We think you’ll taste the difference.

Solstice – Produce sourced with the seasons

Based in North London, Solstice was founded by Michelin-starred chef Phillip Britten and born from a desire to find the kind of exceptional ingredients needed to create outstanding dishes. Dedicated to sourcing the freshest produce all year round, they are committed to seasonality not only for the freshest flavours, but because it’s a core part of their sustainability ethos.

By working alongside nature, they reduce the environmental impact of out-of-season sourcing and get produce to us with minimal food miles. It's a beautifully simple philosophy: the right ingredients, at the right time, from the right people

Paxton & Whitfield – London's legendary cheesemongers

A London institution that's been around almost as long as we have, they were founded in 1797, but their roots go back to a market stall in Aldwych in 1742 - a timeline in step with the history of this very brewery. They were among the first to introduce Stilton to London. Paxton & Whitfield still pioneers new areas of the craft while keeping traditional cheese-making practices alive.

Holding royal warrants across every reign since Queen Victoria, you can find their oldest store a stone’s throw away from us on Jermyn Street. And their amazing cheeses will be on your plate at Guinness Open Gate Brewery London.

Union Hand-Roasted Coffee & Well Grounded – Socially-conscious coffee

Well Grounded works with our coffee supplier, Union Hand-Roasted Coffee. They’re on a mission to change lives, one espresso at a time. The London-based social enterprise operates award-winning Speciality Coffee Training Academies for unemployed adults, empowering them with the skills, qualifications, and mentorship needed to build a sustainable career in the coffee industry.

This initiative is a great example of how a business can be a genuine force for good in its community, a mission that deeply resonates with our Guinness ethos. This partnership is a win-win: you get a top-quality cappuccino, and we help to invest in Londoners' futures.

Urban Farm-It – Specialists in gourmet mushrooms

Based in Kent, Urban Farm-It is the rising star of mushroom farming. Frustrated by modern agricultural practices, founder Elliot Webb started the company from his mum’s garden shed. He had one simple goal: to make growing your own food easy, accessible to everyone and exciting. They began selling grow-your-own mushroom kits, and the success of these has propagated a full-scale operation that supplies gourmet mushrooms to a host of businesses.

Urban Farm-It are focused on local production to deliver a fresher product with a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to imported mushrooms. They’re helping to inspire others to embrace self-sufficiency and more sustainable food production methods, bringing the simple joy of cultivation to people's homes and kitchens.

A beautiful pint, a beautiful plate, and a purpose

By supporting local, ethical and community-driven businesses like these, we're working towards Diageo’s Society 2030: Spirit of Progress. It's part of our mission to do good through everything we do, from the first ingredient to the final mouthful.

At Guinness Open Gate Brewery London, we believe that by working with people who share our passion for quality and sustainability, we can give you an unmissable dining experience and also raise a glass to the community that makes it all possible. It's a taste of the best London has to offer.

Come and try it for yourself - your table’s ready.
